What is Petrified Wood?
What was once living wood, buried by volcanic ash or sediment, has been gradually fossilised into stone, preserving its organic tapestry in stunning detail.
This highly sought-after material, with its earthy texture and vibrant colours, serves as the foundation for one-of-a-kind art installations that blend the soothing hues of nature with the smooth elegance of polished stone.

We are a unique studio dedicated to one-of-a-kind artwork that invites the natural world indoors with rustic elegance and finesse. We work with petrified wood to craft completely unique pieces for captivating interior spaces.
Craftsmanship Rooted in Tradition
Each petrified wood sculpture is personally crafted by Nicholas Bragg, a passionate stonemason and sculptor with over 15 years of experience.
The process begins with selecting the right piece of petrified wood, which can range from small fragments to logs that are several feet in length. Nick carefully sculpts each piece, taking into account its natural patterns, colours, and textures.
The finished product retains the organic lines and knots of the original wood, but with a polished stone finish that reveals the material’s intricate details.
